Lingual braces are a relatively new, modern and invisible alternative to conventional braces.

They are fixed to the back of your teeth, making them the only truly invisible brace.

Speech can be a little affected while your soft tissues adapt but, we use very low profile brackets to minimise discomfort. Typically, your tongue adapts within 3 days and 99% of our lingual patients would agree that really is the worth it for the ultimate option in discreet orthodontics.

How do Lingual Braces work?

Lingual braces work similarly to fixed metal braces, except the brackets are fixed to the inside of your teeth rather than on the surface, making them the most invisible option.

A wire is tied into the brackets, which gradually moves your teeth into their desired position. As with any braces, you’ll need to visit us regularly so that we can can adjust or change the wires to ensure your teeth are moving as planned.

What are the advantages?

There are many benefits to hidden braces, but most notable are;

Who can wear Lingual Braces?

Treatment time is the same as any other orthodontic appliance! Typically treatment takes 12-15 months. But if your orthodontic complaint is mild, it can be much quicker.
